Peptide Lexicon

DSIP

DSIP in the T&T Supplies peptide lexicon: research reference with mechanism, reported effects, limitations and literature data. Evidence grade C+.

Mechanism

Neuropeptide that modulates sleep architecture by promoting delta-wave (slow-wave) sleep. Modulates GABA-B receptors. Reduces nocturnal cortisol. Increases GH secretion during sleep. Normalizes circadian rhythm.

Reported effects

Improved deep sleep quality (not just duration). GH pulse enhancement during sleep. Reduced cortisol during sleep. Potential nootropic effects. Non-sedating — no morning grogginess.

Limitations

Short plasma half-life (~30 min) — may require specific timing. Most data from 1980s-90s Russian studies. Limited modern replication. Expensive per mg.

Literature data

Dosage (literature)
100-300mcg subcut 30-60 min before sleep
Timing
30-60 minutes before bedtime
Cycling
5-7 day cycles. Short-term use most studied
